The Dhaw Center for Development and Democracy Support organized a seminar titled “Women and Political Participation in Iraq”, with the participation of female candidates running for the Iraqi Parliament elections of 2025.

The seminar featured presentations by:

– Samira Nasser Al-Khafaji – Democratic Civil Alliance

– Dr. Ayat Mudhaffar Nui – National State Forces Coalition

– Ikhlas Khaled Hassan – Iraqi Foundation Alliance

In addition, the event was attended by several activists and representatives of civil society organizations.

The seminar was held at 5:00 PM on Friday, 7/11/2025, at the Center’s headquarters.
