The Light Center for Development and Democracy Support held a dialogue seminar on Iraqi-American relations and their future prospects on Saturday afternoon, December 27, 2025, at the Sumerian Hotel in Nasiriyah, Dhi Qar Governorate.

The seminar featured two research papers discussing Iraqi-American relations. The first, presented by Dr. Salah Hassan Al-Shammari, was titled “Iraq’s Place in American Strategy.” The second paper, presented by Professor Dr. Najm Abdul Tarish Al-Ghazi, discussed “The Future of Iraqi-American Relations in Light of Regional Changes in the Middle East.” The seminar was attended by a select group of academics, government officials, and political party representatives, whose valuable questions and contributions enriched the discussion.
