Dhaw Center for Development and Democracy Announces Its Launch Through Its First Founding Conference
On January 18, 2025, the Dhaw Center for Development and Democracy Support — as one of Iraq’s civil society organizations — held its inaugural event through its first founding conference, which featured a panel discussion titled “Iraq: Future Visions.”
The session took place in the Kashkshan Hall at Babel Hotel.
The Center hosted:
– Dr. Hisham Al-Alawi – Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iraq
– Dr. Hamid Fadel – Former President of Al-Mustansiriyah University
– Dr. Adel Abdul-Hamzah – Dean of the College of Political Science, University of Baghdad
The discussion focused on various topics related to Iraq’s foreign policy, the democratic process in the country, and Iraq’s relations with regional and global partners.
The conference was attended by a notable group of academics, decision-makers, officials from various Iraqi ministries, and representatives of research institutions.
